Tom P. Schlachter, P.E., TBE

Dallas Senior Project Manager

Tom graduated from Tri-State University in Angola, Ind with a Mechanical Engineering degree in 1982. From 1998 to 2006 he served as the instructor for our in house training program.

His work experience is extensive, ranging from schools, commercial offices, universities, airports, hospitals, laboratories, thermal energy plants and vivariums . Each of these areas he has performed the actual TAB, sensor verification and control sequence verification. Today his duties include plan and submittal review for balancability, observations, assisting with project coordination and commissioning activities, all the while managing multiple TAB teams.

Much of his career is associated with the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, University of Texas at Dallas and Children’s Medical Center

He is active in ASHRAE and is currently the Chairman of the Guideline Project Committee revising GPC-11; Field Testing HVAC Control Components. He is certified by the Associated Air Balance Council as a TBE – Test and Balance Engineer and received his Texas Professional Engineers license in 1993.
